One Year Milestone Reached!
Family and Friends,
We wanted to give you an update on James health. On June 4th, 2013 James went into the doctor for another CAT Scan with contrast. This test officially marked his one year anniversary of the surgery to remove the tumor in his chest. The results of my scan appear to show no new changes or growth. Hooray! We will continue to "watch" things ever so closely as there are still too many things "unknown" about my disease. However, with the advice of my fantastic team of doctors, namely, Dr. Nathan Dean, my pulmonologist and Dr. Jack Ruckdeschel, my oncologist, they have decided it is in my best interest to test once a year now instead of every six months which I'm currently doing. They were concerned I would be "glowing " with frequent testing. I thank them for that decision :-) As long as everything checks out and behaves the way it's supposed to, after five years of yearly exams they will lengthen the time between testing again.
